I sit on a moss covered rock, dampened by the flowing stream frothing and gurgling all around and about me. We drink the warm tea out of the green old flask that we never normally use and share the hastily made ham sandwiches with marmite (yes, a weird combination indeed). I look up at the sky and the drizzling rain drops fall on my face. Looking around I absorb the different shades of green, the rocks polished smooth by the flowing clear water, boulders rising jagged and proud from the depths of the stream . The rushing water makes that special kind of music that makes you want to close your eyes and listen for the rest of your life. Nature, flaunts her raw beauty in her own hidden territory unseen by the world. Being here makes me incredibly happy. Whoever thought sitting in the rain in the middle of a stream, amidst acres and acres of forest, with no cell phone reception would be so delightful?

That's scary.. being inside a jungle with no mobile reception. hehe.. But ya, you can be totally at peace when you're far from the civilization. =D
ReplyDeleteQuite a lovely prose Spring! It weaves a strikingly beautiful picture of nature.
And this kinda reminded me of that old pic of yours where you were sitting beside a river. You lost the cam and said you couldn't post more pics of the place, remember?
hehe...Thank you Harumi. You are always so kind. Oh yeah..you are right. The scenery is similar to that picture in some ways. Hehe. you have a good memory too. Btw, forests here are not scary like in SL..there are no wild animals or snakes, coz of the cooler climate I guess. So its extra nice to wonder around without needing to think about those things.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome dear. ^__^
ReplyDeletehehe.. I only remember visual things, but not numerical or textual data. That's how my memory works. =D
Wow.. no scary animals? That's so cool ne. Did they have those super high canopy walks too? Ya.. wish we had forests like that.. even if there aren't any scary animals in some parts, we surely have scary leeches in abundance. lol
